On Tuesday, BPSC aspirants in Patna broke through barricades at JP Golambar and confronted CRPF personnel after demanding removal of negative marking and 100% domicile eligibility.

Patna witnessed a sharp escalation of a BPSC TRE-4 protest on Tuesday as candidates demanding the removal of negative marking and the inclusion of 100% domicile eligibility gathered near JP Golambar. The demonstrators, primarily PT and Mains aspirants, had been pressing the state administration for these changes since the exam schedule was announced.

The crowd forced open the barricades erected by police around the junction and moved towards the area where CRPF personnel were deployed. A brief but intense confrontation ensued, with students hurling stones and shouting slogans while the paramilitary force attempted to contain the surge.

Police responded by deploying water cannons to disperse the crowd, after which the situation gradually calmed. Authorities confirmed that several arrests were made and that the protest will be monitored closely, while the BPSC has not yet issued a statement on the specific demands.
