Boyfriend Plots Murder of Girlfriend in Mehandipur Balaji, Two Arrested

Police in Rajasthan’s Mehandipur Balaji say a boyfriend, aided by a friend, orchestrated the killing of his girlfriend to escape marital pressure, and have arrested both suspects using CCTV and mobile data.
Rajasthan police disclosed that a young woman was killed in Mehandipur Balaji after her boyfriend, fearing the prospect of marriage, conspired with an associate to eliminate her. Investigators said the motive stemmed from the couple’s romantic involvement and pressure from families to formalise the relationship.
The crime‑scene team reviewed roughly a thousand CCTV recordings from the town and traced mobile phone locations of the suspects. The digital trail led them to identify two individuals who had coordinated the murder.
Both the boyfriend and his accomplice were taken into custody on charges of pre‑meditated murder. Authorities said the arrests were made swiftly after the forensic and electronic evidence corroborated the alleged plot.
Police have opened a formal case and will continue to examine any further links to the incident, while the victim’s family has been informed of the developments.
