“Border Diaries” is a debut film by director S.G., whose real name is Shashikumar, a native of Aladahalli in Arasikere taluk, Hassan district, Karnataka. The film is based on real incidents and characters from the Karnataka‑Tamil Nadu border region, portraying a unique lifestyle intertwined with drama, crime and social realities.
Production was carried out mainly in Hosur and other border areas of Tamil Nadu, with additional shooting in Channapatna, Magadi and Bangalore. The cast includes Anjan Nagendra, Ashwita Hegde, Gopalakrishna Deshpande, Shivraj K.R. Pete among others, with cinematography by Achyut B.S. and editing by Akash Hiremath.
