A BJP‑organized event featuring independent members of the Legislative Council highlighted growing tensions within the NDA alliance in Bihar, reports India Today.
BJP staged a high‑visibility gathering in Bihar that included several independent members of the Legislative Council (MLCs). The event, described as a "saffron" show, was intended to showcase the party’s outreach beyond its core legislators.
Analysts say the presence of independent MLCs, who are not formally part of the BJP but often support its agenda, underscored underlying disagreements within the state’s National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The alliance, which governs Bihar, has been navigating divergent priorities among its partners.
India Today noted that the rally brought these intra‑alliance strains into public view, suggesting that the BJP may be recalibrating its strategy ahead of upcoming electoral contests in the state.
