BJP workers breach barricades in Chandigarh, police deploy water cannon after Khadgi's Modi remark

Police in Chandigarh confronted a group of BJP workers who took to the streets following a Khadgi remark about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The authorities had earlier erected barricades to prevent any further movement of the demonstrators. When the BJP activists attempted to dismantle the barriers and advance, police officers activated a water‑cannon, spraying a jet of water that forced the crowd to retreat. The use of the water‑cannon was intended to maintain order and prevent the protest from escalating further.
