The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced that it will celebrate Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary by holding a Tribal Pride Week in Madhya Pradesh. The week‑long programme is scheduled from 11 November to 18 November and will feature cultural, educational and community‑development activities aimed at highlighting tribal heritage.
Organisers said the event seeks to honour the legacy of the 19th‑century tribal leader Birsa Munda, whose struggle against colonial rule remains a source of inspiration for tribal communities across central India.
