New Delhi – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will commence a month‑long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan in the state of Chhattisgarh on September 17. The campaign, scheduled to run for 30 days, is positioned as a grassroots outreach program focusing on health camps, sanitation drives and educational support in rural and urban areas.
Party officials said the initiative seeks to demonstrate the BJP’s commitment to public welfare ahead of upcoming local elections. Senior leaders are expected to visit districts across the state, interact with residents and oversee volunteer activities coordinated by party cadres.
The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan will be organized in collaboration with local NGOs and government bodies to maximise impact. Organisers have indicated that more than 5,000 volunteers will participate, targeting key districts such as Raipur, Bilaspur and Durg.
While the BJP has highlighted the campaign as a non‑partisan service effort, political analysts note that the timing aligns with the party’s strategy to consolidate support in Chhattisgarh ahead of the 2027 state assembly polls.
