At a recent protest in Delhi, youths wearing Batman masks attracted Rahul Gandhi’s attention, prompting the BJP to dismiss the stunt, saying the capital does not need a dark superhero or Robin.
During a protest in Delhi, a group of young participants arrived wearing Batman masks, a sight that caught the eye of opposition leader Rahul Gandhi. The masks were part of a visual display that some observers linked to the political atmosphere of the gathering.
The Bharatiya Janata Party responded swiftly, with a party spokesperson remarking, "Delhi doesn't need a dark superhero and Robin." The comment was framed as a criticism of what the BJP described as a gimmick aimed at diverting public attention from substantive issues.
Political analysts noted that the exchange underscores the heightened rhetoric between the BJP and the Congress ahead of upcoming electoral contests. While the protest itself centered on local grievances, the incident has added another layer to the ongoing political sparring in the capital.
No injuries or arrests were reported in connection with the mask display, and the protest proceeded without further disruptions.
