The Bharatiya Janata Party staged a demonstration in Jalandhar demanding action over the Jhotta murder case, culminating in the burning of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's effigy.

In Jalandhar, members of the Bharatiya Janata Party gathered to voice their anger over the recent Jhotta murder case. The protestors marched through the city centre, holding placards that called for swift legal action and accountability.

As the demonstration progressed, participants set up a pyre and burned an effigy of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, symbolising their displeasure with the state government's handling of the case. The act was carried out under police supervision, with no reports of violence or injuries.

Local authorities recorded the event as a peaceful political rally, noting that the crowd dispersed after the effigy was burnt. The BJP has said it will continue to press for a thorough investigation into the murder.
