The junction, a vital link between the Delhi Airport Expressway and the Delhi‑Gurgaon corridor, has been gridlocked for several hours, forcing commuters to take longer alternate routes. Verma argued that the bottleneck stems from fundamental design flaws in the intersection rather than just rising vehicle numbers.
He called for an immediate technical audit by the AAP administration and urged swift engineering corrections, warning that continued neglect could disrupt mobility across the National Capital Region.
Delhi Traffic Police have not issued an official comment yet, while city officials are reportedly analysing traffic data to formulate remedial measures.
