A Belgaum BJP legislator was among six people injured when his vehicle smashed through a divider and collided with an SUV on a Delhi road.
A Belgaum-based BJP Member of Legislative Assembly was travelling in a car that broke through a road divider on a Delhi street and struck an SUV, police said. The collision left six occupants, including the MLA, with injuries that required medical attention.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where they received treatment; none of the reports indicated any fatalities.
Delhi police have opened an investigation into the cause of the crash, examining factors such as speed, vehicle condition and road safety compliance. The MLA’s party has not yet released an official statement, but confirmed that the legislator is under medical care.
