BJP leaders led by Nitin Nabin perform havan on L.K. Advani’s 100th birthday

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s state chief Nitin Nabin, accompanied by several senior leaders, convened a traditional havan on Thursday to honour the 100th birth anniversary of L.K. Advani, the party’s founding figure and former Deputy Prime Minister. The ritual, performed at a venue associated with the party’s local unit, featured the chanting of Vedic mantras and the offering of sacred fire to invoke blessings for the party’s future. Organisers said the ceremony was intended to pay tribute to Advani’s ideological contributions and to reaffirm the party’s commitment to his vision of a strong, culturally rooted India. Party members in attendance observed the rites in silence, followed by a brief address by Nitin Nabin highlighting Advani’s role in shaping the nation’s political landscape. The event concluded with a collective prayer for the welfare of the nation and the BJP’s continued growth.
