The Bharatiya Janata Party inaugurated its week‑long Seva Sankalp campaign in Arunachal Pradesh, with the Sewa Jyoti Yatra departing from Itanagar to promote grassroots service initiatives.
The BJP’s state unit convened a ceremony in Itanagar to mark the start of Seva Sankalp Saptah, a seven‑day programme aimed at mobilising party workers and volunteers for community service across Arunachal Pradesh.
The week‑long drive is intended to showcase the party’s commitment to development at the grassroots level, focusing on health camps, educational outreach and infrastructure assistance in remote villages.
During the same event, the Sewa Jyoti Yatra was officially flagged off. The procession, carrying a symbolic torch, will travel through key districts of the state, stopping at local schools and health centres to encourage public participation in service activities.
Party officials emphasized that the initiative seeks to build a culture of voluntary service among citizens, aligning with the broader national agenda of inclusive growth.
The launch underscores the BJP’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the Northeast by linking political outreach with tangible community assistance.
