The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced its slate of candidates for the 55 wards of the Jaipur Zila Parishad, including Rama Chaupda, Rajesh Gurjar and 31 women, while two ward nominations are still pending.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its list of candidates for the upcoming Rajasthan Panchayat elections, covering all 55 wards of the Jaipur Zila Parishad. The party’s nominations were disclosed ahead of the local body polls that will determine the composition of the district council.
Among the announced names are Rama Chaupda and Rajesh Gurjar, who have secured BJP tickets for their respective wards. In addition, the party has fielded 31 women candidates, reflecting an effort to increase female representation in local governance.
Two wards, however, remain without confirmed candidates as the party finalises its selections. The BJP’s comprehensive slate signals its intent to maintain a strong foothold in Jaipur’s district‑level administration, where control of the Zila Parishad can influence development projects and resource allocation.
