BJP district chief Amit Saxena demanded an explanation after observing that a central minister was allowed to stage a dharna, while he was barred from submitting a memorandum.

BJP district president Amit Saxena in Madhya Pradesh publicly raised concerns over what he described as unequal treatment in the use of protest tools. He pointed out that a central minister had been permitted to organize a dharna, a sit‑in demonstration, while his own effort to submit a memorandum on a related matter was reportedly blocked.

Saxena said the disparity undermines the principle of equal procedural rights for all political actors, regardless of their position. He demanded a clear response from the authorities, insisting that the party and the government should allow him to present his memorandum through the same channels available to senior officials.

The remarks were reported by Amar Ujala, highlighting internal tensions within the BJP over access to democratic avenues of expression. As of now, neither the central minister’s office nor the state administration has issued a comment on Saxena’s request.
