Chief Minister Manik Saha travelled to Delhi and held talks with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and TIPRA Motha leader Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, during which the BJP affirmed its commitment to a tripartite agreement for Tripura.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday for high‑level talks with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The meeting also included Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, the chief of the TIPRA Motha Party, which commands significant tribal support in the state.

During the discussions, the Bharatiya Janata Party reiterated its willingness to enter a tripartite agreement that would involve the state government and TIPRA Motha, aiming to consolidate governance and development initiatives in Tripura. While no specific terms were disclosed, the pledge signals a strategic effort by the BJP to broaden its coalition base ahead of upcoming state elections.

Observers note that the agreement could reshape political dynamics in the northeastern region.
