The Bharatiya Janata Party won the Nandigram assembly by‑election in West Bengal by a record margin, underscoring its growing influence in the state.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged victorious in the Nandigram assembly by‑poll, securing the seat with a margin described as a record in the constituency. Election officials highlighted the unusually large gap between the BJP candidate and the nearest rival, signalling a strong swing in voter sentiment.
Political analysts view the result as a significant boost for the BJP's strategy in West Bengal, where the party has been seeking to expand its legislative presence. The win follows a series of recent contests where the BJP has narrowed the gap with regional parties.
The outcome is expected to influence upcoming electoral calculations in the state, with the party likely to leverage the momentum in future campaigns.
