The deputy mayor elections across Rajasthan’s seven municipal corporations concluded with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) securing six of the seats. In Ajmer, the contest ended in an exact 40-40 tie, prompting officials to resort to a lottery, which ultimately favored the BJP candidate.
Pali also witnessed a deadlock, but the tie was broken in favor of Mahbub T, a candidate backed by the Indian National Congress, giving the party a solitary win in the state.
