Bilawal Bhutto Zardari publicly condemned Pakistan’s hybrid government, calling for an end to its confrontations with PTI, Maulana Fazl, India and Afghanistan.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the son of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, issued a sharp criticism of Pakistan’s current hybrid regime. In his remarks, he urged the authorities to cease their ongoing confrontations with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its leader, as well as with religious figure Maulana Fazl. He also called for an end to hostilities directed at neighboring India and Afghanistan, emphasizing the need for a more conciliatory approach.

The statement highlighted Bilawal’s concern that the regime’s confrontational stance is destabilising the region and undermining democratic processes within Pakistan. He warned that continued antagonism could further polarise the nation’s political landscape and strain diplomatic ties with neighboring countries.

Bilawal’s comments come amid heightened political tensions in Pakistan, where the military-backed government has been accused of curbing dissent and limiting the space for opposition parties. By addressing both domestic and foreign fronts, he underscored the broader implications of the regime’s policies for regional peace and stability.

While no immediate response from the government was recorded, analysts note that such public rebukes from a senior Pakistan Peoples Party leader could intensify debates over the country’s political direction and its relationship with India and Afghanistan.
