Bikaner Municipal Election Voting Rescheduled to Sept 9, Others Shifted to Sept 11

The voting for Bikaner Municipal Corporation has been moved from September 11 to September 9, while six other local bodies in Rajasthan will now vote on September 11.
Rajasthan's scheduled local‑body elections have seen a revision in the polling calendar. The Election Commission announced that the Bikaner Municipal Corporation, originally slated to vote on September 11, will now hold its poll on September 9.
In addition to Bikaner, six municipal councils – including Nokha and five others – have had their dates shifted to September 11. The change aligns these bodies with the broader state‑wide timetable and avoids overlap with other civic activities.
Election officials said the adjustment was made after reviewing logistical requirements and ensuring adequate security and staff deployment. Voter awareness campaigns will be intensified to inform residents of the new dates.
The revised schedule is expected to facilitate smoother conduct of the elections across the affected jurisdictions, while other municipal bodies in Rajasthan will continue to follow the previously announced timetable.
