Ahead of the upcoming panchayat polls, BJP MLA Ashok Ghalot has called on the state government to provide irrigation water to farmers, compensate for crop losses, release pending subsidies for cattle shelters, and strengthen health schemes.
Bikaner MLA Ashok Ghalot addressed the Rajasthan government ahead of the state’s panchayat elections, urging immediate action on several rural issues. He demanded that irrigation water be made available to farmers in the region, citing persistent water shortages that hamper crop production. Ghalot also called for compensation for farmers who suffered crop damage due to erratic rainfall and other climatic factors.
In addition, the MLA highlighted the need to release pending subsidies for cattle shelters, arguing that such support is essential for the livestock sector that underpins many rural households. He further urged the state to strengthen existing health schemes, ensuring better access to medical services for villagers.
Ghalot’s remarks come as the BJP seeks to consolidate its base before the local elections, and the demands may influence voter sentiment in the Bikaner district.
