The state government of Bihar has completed construction of a minority residential school in Nalanda district that was approved eight years ago. Built at an estimated cost of ₹56 crore, the campus includes hostels, classrooms, laboratories and other amenities designed to accommodate 560 students.
The school aims to provide quality education and boarding facilities to students from minority communities, addressing long‑standing demands for dedicated infrastructure in the region. Officials say the institution will follow the state’s curriculum while also offering extra‑courricular and vocational training.
Minister Jama Khan is scheduled to inaugurate the facility later this week, marking the culmination of a prolonged approval and funding process. The opening is expected to boost enrollment among minority students and serve as a model for similar projects across Bihar.
