The government has initiated the first-ever Structured Pulse Procurement program in Bihar as part of the Atmanirbhar Pulses Mission, aiming to bolster domestic pulse production and farmer income.
The Indian government has launched a significant initiative in Bihar, marking the first instance of Structured Pulse Procurement within the state. This program is a key component of the broader Atmanirbhar Pulses Mission.
The initiative aims to streamline the process of purchasing pulses directly from farmers. By establishing a structured procurement system, the government intends to ensure fair prices for agricultural produce and encourage increased cultivation of pulses across the region.
This move is expected to provide a substantial boost to the agricultural sector in Bihar, aligning with the national objective of achieving self-sufficiency in pulse production and enhancing the economic well-being of the farming community.
