Bihar Places 7 Districts on Flood Alert as Gandak River Levels Rise

Bihar authorities have placed seven districts on flood alert after a sudden rise in the Gandak River's water level, following a disaster in Nepal. The districts under alert are West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Muzaffarpur, and Vaishali. State officials have mobilised flood control teams, set up early warning systems, and prepared evacuation plans for vulnerable communities. Continuous monitoring of river levels will be conducted to ensure timely response.
