The Bihar Post Graduate Medical Admission Counselling (PGMAC) authority has released the Round 1 seat matrix for the 2026 intake, outlining the allocation of seats across specialties and institutions for NEET‑PG qualified doctors.
The Bihar Post Graduate Medical Admission Counselling (PGMAC) body announced on its official portal that the Round 1 seat matrix for the 2026 postgraduate medical admissions is now available. The release follows the recent NEET‑PG examination, which qualified thousands of doctors for advanced training.
The matrix provides a detailed breakdown of seats allotted to each medical college in the state, covering both government and private institutions. It also distinguishes between various categories such as state quota, all‑India quota and reserved seats, allowing candidates to see where they stand in the merit list.
Candidates are advised to log in to the Bihar PGMAC website to verify their allotted seats and to follow the subsequent counselling steps within the stipulated timeline. Any discrepancies must be reported immediately to avoid loss of admission opportunity.
The publication aims to bring transparency to the admission process and to help NEET‑PG aspirants plan their postgraduate careers with clarity. Further rounds of counselling are expected later in the year, subject to seat availability and regulatory approvals.
