Bihar's Panchayati Raj Minister Deepak Prakash said no comment can be made on the election date as delimitation and reservation roster work is still in progress.

Muzaffarpur, Bihar – The state's Panchayati Raj Minister Deepak Prakash arrived in Muzaffarpur and addressed media queries regarding the schedule for the upcoming Panchayat elections. He emphasized that it would be premature to announce a specific election date at this stage.

The minister explained that the delimitation of ward boundaries and the finalisation of the reservation roster for scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and women are still under review. These steps are essential to ensure a fair and legally compliant electoral process.

Until the delimitation and reservation lists are completed, the Election Commission will not be able to set a definitive polling calendar. Officials have been asked to expedite the work, but no timeline was provided.

Stakeholders, including local political parties and community leaders, have been urged to wait for the official notification before making any campaign preparations.
