The Bihar disaster‑management minister inspected a flood‑relief kitchen and reprimanded the cook for serving substandard dal.
The state’s disaster‑management minister toured a temporary kitchen set up to feed families displaced by recent floods in Bihar. The inspection formed part of the government’s ongoing monitoring of relief distribution after heavy rains inundated large parts of the district.
During the visit the minister noted that the dal being served did not meet the expected quality standards. He called out the cook responsible and directed that the preparation be corrected to ensure proper nutrition for the beneficiaries.
Emphasising the importance of hygiene and food‑quality norms, the minister warned that any lapse could endanger the health of vulnerable residents. He ordered a review of the kitchen’s supply chain and assured that swift corrective action would be taken.
Officials said the kitchen prepares thousands of meals each day and that the issue will be resolved without interrupting aid to flood‑affected communities.
