The state government of Bihar has announced the creation of two advisory panels aimed at elevating educational standards and modernising examination processes.
The Bihar government has set up two separate advisory panels to address the state’s educational challenges. The first panel will examine curriculum content, teaching methodologies, and teacher training, while the second will focus on redesigning examination formats and assessment techniques.
Both panels are expected to comprise experts from academia, industry, and former educators. They will review current practices, propose reforms, and submit recommendations to the state education department by the end of the fiscal year.
This initiative follows concerns over low pass rates and the perceived obsolescence of existing exam structures. By modernising assessment methods, the government aims to align Bihar’s education system with national standards and improve student outcomes.
