Over 3.5 million people across 14 districts of Bihar have been affected by severe flooding as the Ganga river reached its highest ever flood level.
The deluge has impacted more than 35 lakh residents in the state. Floodwaters have submerged homes, farmland and infrastructure across the affected areas. Fourteen districts of Bihar are currently experiencing the inundation.
The Ganga river has risen to its highest flood mark on record, exacerbating the situation. Water levels continue to remain critical in the river basin.
Authorities are monitoring the rising waters and coordinating relief measures for the displaced population.
