The district administration in Bihar has mobilised 15 patrol units, drones and magistrate‑led police teams across 292 spots to ensure law and order during Diwali.
The district administration in Bihar announced a comprehensive security plan for Diwali, dividing the area into 14 sectors. Fifteen mobile patrol units equipped with communication gear will patrol the streets continuously throughout the festival. In addition, unmanned aerial drones will provide aerial surveillance of crowded markets and public gathering points.
Magistrates and police officers have been posted at 292 designated locations, creating a visible presence to deter any untoward incidents. The deployment aims to curb potential fire hazards, crowd‑related accidents and any criminal activity that could arise during the celebrations.
Officials said the coordinated effort, which combines ground patrols with real‑time drone footage, will enable rapid response to emergencies and help maintain a peaceful environment for families celebrating the festival.
