Bihar Demands Full Opening of Farakka Barrage Gates as Ganges Rises

Bihar officials have formally requested that the central authorities open every gate of the Farakka Barrage to manage the increasing flow of the Ganges River. The appeal comes as water levels in the river have risen sharply, prompting concerns over potential flooding in the state.
