Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary instructed district magistrates across Bihar to accelerate the acquisition of land required for upcoming industrial projects, aiming to boost the state's manufacturing sector.

Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary issued a formal directive to all district magistrates in Bihar, asking them to speed up the process of acquiring land earmarked for new industrial projects. The order, conveyed through the state’s administrative channels, underscores the government’s urgency to clear bottlenecks that have slowed down investment.

The CM highlighted that swift land acquisition is essential to attract private capital, create jobs and advance the state’s goal of becoming a manufacturing hub. He urged officials to coordinate with revenue and land‑record departments to resolve pending disputes and ensure that compensation mechanisms are transparent and timely.

District magistrates have been asked to submit weekly progress reports and to prioritize cases that are critical for large‑scale factories, logistics parks and ancillary units. The administration also promised to address any legal challenges that may arise, aiming for a clear timeline for each project.

State officials expect that accelerating land acquisition will unlock several multi‑billion‑rupee investments already approved by the central government and private players. By removing procedural delays, the government hopes to generate significant employment opportunities and increase Bihar’s contribution to the national industrial output.

The move comes after months of criticism over slow land‑release processes that have hampered earlier proposals. With the new directive, the Bihar government signals a proactive stance to streamline development and deliver on its industrial growth promises.
