Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said his government will launch a comprehensive programme to strengthen schools, colleges and power infrastructure across Bihar.
Bihar's chief minister, Samrat Choudhary, outlined a sweeping initiative aimed at overhauling the state's education and energy sectors during a press briefing on Thursday. He emphasized that the plan seeks to address long‑standing gaps in infrastructure, quality of teaching and reliable electricity supply.
The education component will focus on constructing new schools in underserved districts, upgrading existing college facilities, introducing digital classrooms, and expanding teacher‑training programmes. Additional measures include scholarship schemes for meritorious students from economically weaker sections.
On the energy front, the government intends to boost power generation capacity, accelerate the rollout of renewable projects such as solar farms, and improve transmission networks to reduce outages, especially in rural areas.
Choudhary indicated that the combined effort will be funded through a mix of state resources and central government assistance, with implementation slated to begin in the next fiscal year. Officials expect the reforms to raise literacy rates and attract investment by creating a more reliable power environment.
