Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said a new Maati Kala Board will be set up in Bihar within the next three months to boost traditional arts and crafts.

Bihar's chief minister Samrat Chaudhary announced that a Maati Kala Board will be created within three months to promote the state's traditional arts and crafts. The board is planned as a statutory body that will coordinate artisans, channel financial assistance and facilitate market linkages for rural craftsmen. The state government intends to allocate a dedicated budget and form a steering committee to oversee the board's operations. Chaudhary emphasized that the initiative aims to preserve cultural heritage while generating employment opportunities in villages. The announcement was made during a press briefing in Patna, where the CM also highlighted ongoing cultural development programmes.
