Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary announced he will personally address the media after today’s cabinet meeting in Patna, marking the first such press conference.
The Bihar cabinet met today in Patna under the leadership of Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. In an unprecedented move, the chief minister will step into the press conference room himself after the session, a role traditionally handled by senior IAS officials.
Historically, the outcomes of cabinet meetings have been relayed to journalists by bureaucratic spokespeople. By choosing to address the media directly, the CM signals that a major decision is likely to be announced.
While the exact subject of the announcement remains undisclosed, officials indicated that it pertains to a significant policy or administrative change. The press briefing is scheduled to take place in the chief minister’s office later this afternoon.
Political analysts suggest that this direct communication could be aimed at shaping public perception and ensuring clarity on the forthcoming decision.
The media will be permitted to ask limited questions following the chief minister’s statements, and the event is expected to be closely covered across state and national outlets.
