Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has urged the central government to work closely with state agencies to curb infiltration along the Nepal border, emphasizing coordinated action.
Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary addressed the assembly on Tuesday, calling for a joint effort between the central and state governments to tackle the growing problem of infiltration along the Nepal border.
He highlighted that porous stretches of the border have allowed smugglers and illegal migrants to cross with relative ease, posing security and economic challenges for the state.
The CM urged the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Border Security Force to coordinate closely with Bihar’s police and intelligence agencies, and to set up a joint task force to monitor and secure the frontier.
He added that a coordinated approach would help in timely intelligence sharing, quicker response times, and stronger enforcement of existing border regulations.
