The Bihar Board has pushed back the last date for submitting applications for the State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) to 15 September, allowing more candidates to register.
The Bihar Board announced on Wednesday that the deadline for submitting applications for the State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) has been extended to 15 September. The move comes as a relief for candidates who were unable to complete the registration process before the earlier cut‑off.
Applicants who have not yet cleared the STET can now file their forms online through the official portal until the new deadline. The board has reiterated that all other eligibility criteria and examination schedules remain unchanged.
The extension is expected to increase the pool of candidates for the upcoming teacher recruitment drive conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission. Prospective teachers are advised to review the updated guidelines on the board’s website and ensure that all required documents are uploaded correctly.
Education officials said the decision aims to provide a fair opportunity to aspirants across the state, especially those from remote areas who faced connectivity issues while attempting to apply earlier.
