Bidar Authority President Inaugurates Gandhi Friends Group Annual Meet
Bidar: Vinodkumar Appe, President of the Bidar Urban Development Authority, inaugurated the annual general meeting of the Gandhi Friends Group held at Mahesh Function Hall near Kumbarwada Common. He assured efforts to construct a pedestrian pathway from Kittur Rani Chennamma Circle to Gumpa Ring Road.
Appe stated that discussions regarding the pedestrian pathway demand will be held with District Minister Eshwar Khandre and Bidar MLA Raheem Khan. Rajendrakumar Gandage, the president of the Gandhi Friends Group, recalled the group’s origin aimed at improving the Rampure Bank Colony and highlighted various development works such as roads, drains, streetlights, and tree planting accomplished over 19 successful years. They also resolved to maintain the colony park and provide incentive funds to the achiever children of group members.
Municipal Corporation members Prabhu Patil and Rajaram Chitta received a memorandum on various colony demands. Several dignitaries including entrepreneur Umesh Biradar, former Municipal member Dhanraj Hangargi, and national vice president of Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva Lingayat Mahasabha youth wing Santosh Patil participated. Group members were honored and visitor bags distributed during the event.
