Bidar: Drug-Free Youth Campaign Promotes Healthy Living
Bidar: Health experts urged youth to avoid drug addiction, embrace a healthy lifestyle, and contribute to national development during the ‘Mera Swasthya, Mera Garv’ health and awareness camp held on September 25 at Guru Nanak Hospital. The event was part of the 100-week Drug-Free Youth Campaign ‘Drug-Free Youth for Developed India,’ organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Guru Nanak First Grade College under the guidance of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and My Bharat.
CEO of Guru Nanak Hospital, Kameshwara Rao, served as the chief guest, while Principal Dr. Shyamala V. Dutta presided over the program. Resource persons including gastroenterologist Dr. Sandeep and gynecologist Dr. Santosh educated students on healthy eating habits, nutrient intake, digestive health, and preventive lifestyle measures. A basic health check-up was conducted for NSS volunteers, with medical staff collecting blood samples and performing necessary tests under the supervision of NSS Project Officer G.N. Mathapathy.
