Bidar Police Arrest Four for Illegal Arms Possession
Bidar: The Bidar Suburban Police Station registered case number 43/2026 under sections 25(1)(a), 25(1)(b), and 27 of the Indian Arms Act related to illegal possession and sale of firearms. On July 15, 2026, PSI Taslim Sultana received credible information about two individuals selling country pistols near Gnanasudha School by the Ring Road. Acting under senior officers' guidance, the police conducted a raid, arresting two suspects and seizing five pistols, 26 live cartridges, 10 empty MT cases, five swords, and one two-wheeler used in the crime, valued at Rs 6,73,000.
Under the supervision of IPS Pradeep Gunti and Additional Superintendent Chandrakant Poojari, a police team led by Deputy Superintendent N.D. Sandhi and Inspector Santosh L. Tattepalli arrested four accused, including Amanjeet Singh and Venkatesh alias Venki, who were sent to judicial custody. Key accused Balbeer Singh alias Shera Jadhav from Nanded was apprehended with three pistols and four live cartridges. Other accused Anand Kumar from Zaheerabad, Eshwar from Yaranalli, and Ashwin from Janwada were also arrested with additional weapons. The investigation is ongoing, with Balbeer Singh linked to five police cases across Maharashtra.
