Bhopal Traffic ACP's House Burglary: Thieves Seize ₹10 Lakh in Cash and Jewelry

In Bhopal’s Kolara area, thieves broke into the empty house of Traffic ACP Vijay Dubey, stealing about ₹10 lakh in cash and family heirloom jewelry. Police have begun forensic analysis and CCTV review.
The burglary took place on a Sunday night in the Kolara neighbourhood of Bhopal, when two armed men forced open the lock of Traffic ACP Vijay Dubey’s unoccupied residence.
They entered the living room and stole approximately ₹10 lakh, including about ₹6 lakh in cash taken from a wardrobe and a collection of gold and silver heirloom jewelry.
Bhopal Police have collected forensic evidence from the scene and are analysing CCTV footage from nearby cameras to identify the suspects.
The incident has raised concerns about security at police officers’ homes, and authorities are reviewing protective measures for high‑profile officers.
