Bhopal: Toxic Chemicals Found in Trees

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has taken a strict stance on the allegations of using toxic chemicals to dry trees in Bhopal. The allegations also include the release of untreated sewage into the Lower Lake and construction in the wetland area. An investigation was conducted, which revealed that seven trees had holes drilled into their trunks, with five of them found to be dry. This has raised concerns about the environmental impact of such actions. The NGT has taken a strong stance on the matter, and the Bhopal Municipal Corporation is under scrutiny.
