Bhopal is set to witness a large‑scale Ganesh Visarjan procession on Anant Chaturdashi, with an estimated 1,500 decorated floats (jhankis) moving through the city. The event, organized by local cultural groups, will commence at 7 pm from the India Talkies area and continue until the early hours of the next day.
The floats, each bearing a small Ganesh idol and elaborate decorations, will follow a pre‑planned route that threads through major thoroughfares such as Narmadapuram Road, Katra Road and the central market area. Organisers have coordinated with municipal officials to ensure smooth movement of the procession.
To accommodate the crowd and the moving parade, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation has issued a temporary traffic diversion plan. Several key arteries will be closed or restricted, and alternate routes have been signposted for commuters.
