The Crime Branch in Bhopal has taken into custody a third accused linked to a drug network that sourced narcotics from Delhi, with investigations uncovering ties to a Nigerian individual.
The Crime Branch of Bhopal announced today that it has arrested a third suspect in a drug‑trafficking case that spans Delhi and the capital of Madhya Pradesh. The detainee was apprehended during a coordinated operation by local police, adding to earlier arrests in the same investigation.
According to officials, the primary accused in the ring regularly transported narcotics from Delhi into Bhopal and distributed them across the city. To facilitate the supply chain, the mastermind paid a commission to subordinate operatives for each consignment delivered.
During interrogation, investigators uncovered that the network maintained contact with an individual of Nigerian origin, suggesting an international dimension to the trafficking operation. The police have not disclosed the identity of the foreign associate but confirmed that the link is being probed further.
The Crime Branch said the case remains under active investigation and that additional arrests may follow as more evidence is gathered.
