The Smart Traffic Management Road Reconstruction (STRR) project in Bengaluru is approaching completion after four of six planned packages were finished earlier this year.
The completed packages cover major arterial roads, including the Outer Ring Road and parts of the Inner Ring Road, improving traffic flow and reducing congestion.
The remaining two packages, covering the stretch between Hosur Road and Whitefield, are slated for completion by the end of 2024, according to the Bangalore Development Authority.
Officials say the project will cut travel times by up to 20% and is part of the city’s broader plan to modernise infrastructure and support a growing population.
