From September 2026, Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport will charge a reduced user development fee of Rs 300 for domestic passengers and Rs 997 for international travelers.
The Airport Authority of India (AAI) announced that starting September 2026 the user development fee at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport will be lowered to Rs 300 for domestic flights and Rs 997 for international services. The move is part of a broader financial framework aimed at simplifying cost recovery while keeping air travel affordable for passengers.
In addition to the fee cut, domestic flight landing charges have been set at Rs 442 per metric tonne, a rate that aligns with the authority’s effort to streamline airport revenue streams. Officials said the revised charges will help accelerate ongoing infrastructure projects without passing excessive costs onto airlines or travelers.
Industry analysts expect the reduced fees to make Bengaluru a more attractive hub for both domestic carriers and foreign airlines, potentially boosting passenger volumes and supporting the city’s growing status as a major business and technology centre.
