In a bid to curb road accidents, Basavakalyan mobile police station conducted a comprehensive road safety awareness program in the city, urging motorists to wear helmets and seat belts and forbidding under‑18s from driving.

In a concerted effort to reduce road accidents, the Basavakalyan mobile police station carried out a road safety awareness program in the city of Basavakalyan, Karnataka. The initiative was directed by the Bhedi district police and led by P.S.I. Shri Siddeshwara and Shri Ms. Sujata.

The officers educated the public about traffic rules and the importance of wearing helmets for two‑wheelers and seat belts for cars. They also warned that allowing children under 18 years to drive is a criminal offence.

The program, which involved police officers and staff from the station, aimed to raise awareness among residents and encourage compliance with traffic regulations. The Bhedi district police have consistently worked to lower accident rates, and this effort has been praised as a commendable step toward safer roads.
