The Kannada film ‘Mahakavi’, directed by Baraguru Ramachandrappa, has been officially listed for screening at the upcoming Jharkhand Film Festival.
Baraguru Ramachandrappa’s latest cinematic work, titled “Mahakavi”, has secured a slot in the programme of the Jharkhand Film Festival. The selection was confirmed by the festival’s organising committee earlier this week.
“Mahakavi”, a biographical drama rooted in Kannada literature, showcases Ramachandrappa’s reputation for blending cultural narratives with contemporary storytelling. The film, which has already garnered attention at regional screenings, now aims to reach a broader audience through the festival platform.
The Jharkhand Film Festival, scheduled to take place later this month, will feature a diverse lineup of Indian and international titles. Organisers expect “Mahakavi” to attract cinephiles interested in regional cinema and to highlight the state’s growing role as a cultural hub for film exhibitions.
