Bangladesh’s commerce minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir said Indian and U.S. businesses are showing strong interest in investing in the country.

Bangladesh’s commerce minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir told reporters that Indian and United States companies have expressed a keen appetite for investment in the South Asian nation.

He noted that interest spans sectors such as manufacturing, information technology and renewable energy, although no specific deals were disclosed, and said recent reforms – including tax incentives and streamlined approval processes – are aimed at attracting foreign capital.

Muktadir urged interested firms to engage with the ministry to explore concrete opportunities, adding that diversifying investment sources is a priority for Bangladesh’s growth agenda.
