A major development plan has been announced to build India's second‑largest international cricket stadium on the outskirts of Bangalore. The project aims to provide world‑class facilities for cricket enthusiasts and position the city as a key destination for international matches.
The proposed stadium will be the second biggest in the country, following the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. It is expected to accommodate a large number of spectators and include modern amenities such as training facilities, media centers, and hospitality suites.
The initiative is seen as a boost for local sports development and tourism, potentially attracting international teams and events to Karnataka. Officials say the project will create employment opportunities and stimulate economic growth in the region.
